First time Ice-Skating! We all set out for Pasadena to visit Sean's family. My niece Nicole was turning 9 and she was having an Ice-skating party.

This was the first time I'd ever been! It was the kid's first time too but that is more understandable isn't it? Anyway, it was very much like skating. I never used those roller blades, I always had the four wheels on my skates and I did fine, which dispelled the myth I'd heard that skating on four wheels is totally different. It was a great time! We had pizza and cake and there were a lot of friends from Colie's school there.

Sean showed up later, coming from a job and skated in his uniform. He was really good out there. He's on a hockey team and plays every week so he gets a bit more practice than the rest of us. :) Hana was whizzing by us and Nicole and Andrea (other niece) were too.

Kade liked to go by himself and would end up on the wall somewhere chilling out. I took him around the ice three times and then I need a break! It's a lot of exercise to hold a small body as they try to skate. The problem was, funny enough, when I held his hand, he would try less to hold himself up, so he actually did better when I olny head one hand. Kya was getting it very quickly. She took off on her own and did pretty well. She was hestitant to hold anyone's hand too much and liked to stand on her own two feet. Hana was trying tricks with her feet, holding one out and back like one of the ice skaters that was there, who was very advanced. There was this funny little boy, really small, with full hockey gear on and he was ripping around through everyone like a bolt. It was quite impressive.

My handsome hubby and I went to a Dodgers vs Giants game the other day. We went with Chris Wrighstman and his wife Ava. Chris and Sean are both extremely into the Dodgers and sitting between them I learned a lot about baseball. Ava is a bright sparkle to be around and the two of them are quite cute together as you can see in this picture. The Dodgers won which was a great way to end the evening. Grandma Pat watched Kade this night, while the girls slept over at their friend Isabella's house. It was a great evening and our seats were incredible. Right near home plate but a bit to the left. We saw the guy from Jeopardy, Larry King and Alyssa Milano while sitting in our seats. One of the fans had a bit to much to drink and was messing with the peanut thrower. We were all glad when he left. I ate like a pig and even had a beer which I drink over about 3 hours and went very well with my peanuts.
